37 companies on the PR software map.

Media monitoring tools find the coverage. They watch news sites, print, TV, radio, podcasts and social posts for a brand or topic, then send alerts, clips and summaries. Many add analysis on top, such as sentiment, share of voice and the stories that are growing.

The list runs from news databases such as Factiva and LexisNexis Newsdesk to broadcast services such as TVEyes and Critical Mention. Newer tools use AI agents. Cortex Intelligence runs four AI agents, including ones for monitoring and reports, and PeakMetrics flags bot activity and deepfakes.

[Companies that offer media monitoring](https://www.newsprint.com/research/pr-software/monitoring-and-suites/) shows which media monitoring tools and PR suites offer an API, an MCP server, an agent skill or a plugin, and what each has shipped.
