Sources

Where the stories come from.

Newsprint doesn't filter a standing feed. Each brief is researched when it's built, against the written coverage plan for your company.

That plan decides what gets searched. Every brief starts from the same list of general news outlets, and the plan adds the trade press for your industry and the companies and people you care about. On a slow week you get a shorter brief, not a padded one.

What a brief searches

General news
Searches start from a shared list of wire services, national and business outlets, and international media.
Your industry
We add the trade publications that cover your sector, chosen when we build your coverage plan.
Mentions
A search for a named company or person can reach beyond those lists to wherever the mention ran.
Sources you bring
Forward an article, subscribe an industry newsletter to your agent address, or point us at an RSS feed.

Tell us which publications matter to your business and we'll work them into the plan. If we can't reach one, we'll say so rather than quietly leaving it out.

Publisher links and paywalls

Every story names the publisher it ran in, as a link to the publisher's own page. Some of those articles need a subscription to read.

Newsprint doesn't include publisher subscriptions, open paywalls, or give you the right to republish a publisher's work. How much of an article we can read while researching varies by source, so a link in your brief doesn't mean we hold licensed full text for you.

When a story is wrong

Newsprint chooses and summarizes with AI, and it can get things wrong. Read the linked reporting before you act on a summary.

Reply to the brief with which story is wrong and what's wrong with it. The agent records the report and tells you whether it reached our team.

Reporting an error does not recall the email that already went out, and no correction goes to the other people who received the brief. If colleagues acted on the story, tell them yourself.
