FAQs

Short answers to the questions people ask most about Newsprint.

How long does setup take?

About 15 minutes. Share your work email and your agent emails you straight back to confirm the address. Reply YES, or tell us what you want covered, and your first brief lands in your inbox.

Can my team get the brief too?

Yes. Reply to any brief with “add subscriber name@company.com” and they’ll start receiving it. Editors can change what the brief covers and manage who’s on it. Subscribers receive a read-only copy.

What sources do you use?

Wire services, national and business media, and the trade publications for your industry. Your coverage plan decides what we search for, and an AI editor reads what comes back and picks what reaches your brief.

What if a story is wrong?

Reply and tell us which story and what’s wrong. Newsprint records it for our team. It cannot recall the email that already went out, so if colleagues read the story, tell them yourself.

How is this different from ChatGPT?

You have to remember to ask ChatGPT, you have to frame the question, and you get a different answer each time. Newsprint runs on a written coverage plan built for your company, on a schedule, and every story links to the reporting it came from.

Is this a media monitoring tool?

No. Monitoring platforms give you every mention and a place to log in and search them. Newsprint gives you the briefing: the reading and the selection are already done when the email lands, and there is nothing to log into.

Can I change my topics?

Anytime. Just reply to any brief with what you want to change. “Add Acme Corp as a competitor.” “Track lithium policy news.” “Stop covering M&A.” No settings page, no dashboard. Just email.

How is this different from Google Alerts?

Google Alerts sends you every mention. Newsprint evaluates hundreds of articles and selects the ones that actually matter to your business. You get a concise brief, not a firehose.
