The AI hiring software map

AI recruiters and agents

22 companies on the AI hiring software map. Updated .

An AI recruiter is an agent that does several steps of a recruiter's job on its own. Given a role, it sources candidates, writes outreach, holds a first screen and books interviews. The map's report finds that vendors still stop short of the hiring decision.

Some agents work for candidates as well as employers. Jack & Jill pairs Jack, a voice agent for candidates, with Jill, an agent for hiring teams. Finlay works in Slack, and Carefam is built for hiring clinicians.

AI recruiters and agents

  • Alfa AI

"The #1 AI Recruiting Platform." London-based Alfa sells AI agents to recruiters and hiring teams. It scans "over 800 million profiles", writes and posts job ads and reaches out on its own. Lisa, an AI avatar, then runs audio or video interviews as soon as candidates apply and scores each one for fit. It syncs two ways with Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, Bullhorn and 70+ other ATSs. Recruiters review the scored candidates and interview recordings and move people through their pipeline.

  • Carefam

"Hire Clinicians with AI Built for Healthcare." Sold to hospitals, long-term care and home care employers. AI assistants source candidates, run round-the-clock AI screening calls and auto-credential them. They match, schedule interviews and nudge no-shows. They confirm offers, automate onboarding paperwork and check in with new hires through day 90. Complex or sensitive decisions go to human HR staff. It is not a staffing agency and is free for clinicians. It claims to "reduce time-to-hire by 3X."

  • Carv

"Build, deploy & manage recruitment agents at scale". Carv is an agent platform for high-volume recruiting at staffing firms and large employers in logistics, retail and contact centres. A library of agents covers screening, job discovery, rediscovery, scheduling, onboarding and compliance. Its voice agent calls applicants as soon as they apply and runs first-round phone screens in 99 languages, then logs transcripts to the ATS. It bought conversational AI firm Recrubo (WhatsApp, SMS and voice bots) in March 2025.

  • Clera

Calls itself "the first AI talent agent". The agent learns what each candidate wants in a conversation over chat, WhatsApp, iMessage or email. It matches them to startup roles and sends a warm intro straight to the hiring manager. It also helps with interview prep and with negotiating salary, equity and start date. Candidates use it free; companies pay 15% of first-year base salary only on a hire. The hiring manager runs the interviews and decides. It covers 900+ venture-backed startups in US and European hubs.

  • Contrario

"Hire great talent faster." A company uploads a job description or syncs its ATS. A vetted network of 500+ expert recruiters sources and vets candidates. AI agents run the "follow-ups, scheduling, and coordination behind the scenes." Vetted candidates land in the client's ATS pipeline and Slack "within days." The client still interviews and decides. The vendor claims "20 days to meet the candidate you hire." Buyers are mostly startups hiring engineers and designers.

    On the map

  • Dex

"The talent agent for senior software engineers." Every candidate has a voice or text conversation with Dex's AI agent about their experience, goals and deal-breakers. An employer briefs Dex once on what "great" looks like. Dex's matching engine and its human "matchmaker and talent team" then send a small flow of warm, opt-in introductions through Ashby, Slack or the existing process. Dex does not sell software to recruiters; it charges a placement fee. The employer runs the interviews and makes the offer.

  • Finlay

"Your AI Recruiter Teammate." Finlay sells an AI recruiter that lives in Slack and a web app. An employer briefs a role, and the agent sources candidates, runs LinkedIn outreach from the employer's connected account, pre-screens by AI voice call and presents the results in Slack. The team makes the hiring decisions. Employers can sign up themselves on a free plan or pay for Finlay Recruiter. A managed plan adds Finlay's own recruiters. It charges no success fees.

    On the map

  • Standout

"Agentic hiring marketplace." Every candidate and every company gets an agent. A company enters its URL. The agent reads its team, stack and stage, searches LinkedIn and GitHub, and pre-screens inbound applicants. It sends warm intros to Slack with a note on fit and books a 30-minute call. It also sends follow-up and rejection emails. Candidates run a CLI ("npx standout") that assesses how they build. Candidates stay anonymous until they accept an intro. Companies pay only on success.
