The AI hiring software map

Skills assessments

22 companies on the AI hiring software map. Updated .

Skills assessments test what a candidate can do before an interview. They range from coding tests and job simulations to aptitude and personality tests. Vendors now use AI to build and score the tests, and to catch candidates who cheat with AI.

Coding tests have stopped banning AI. CodeSignal, HackerRank and CoderPad now let candidates use AI during the test. Codility lets interviewers have the coding agent slip in a bug to see whether the candidate catches it.
