The PR software map

Some 143 companies now sell some sort of AI product to PR teams. This research shows what shipped when (and more).

We read every company’s own site between 23 September and 19 October 2026 and counted 968 dated feature launches, 475 of them major: a company’s first launch of a capability, or its first in a newer technology.

01The list

Every cell is a button. Hover or tap it to see what that company does at that phase. Click or tap again to open the full row, with every phase, the price, the dated milestones, the company’s launches and the sources. Under each name is the company’s funnel: its launches on record, how many map to a capability, and how many are major.

03The feature timeline

475 major launches and 325 corporate events across 132 of the companies: each company’s first launch of every capability, its first in each newer technology, and every founding, funding round, acquisition and shutdown we could put a source against. Each dot is one major launch, coloured by its technology; a ring is a corporate event; a numbered dot holds launches too close together to tell apart. Hover or tap a dot for the detail; click it, or tap it again, to open the page it came from (the newest one, for a numbered dot). Minor launches are in the log below.

04Every launch, on the record

Every launch we could source, major and minor, each with its capabilities, its technology, the vendor’s own words for it and the date its source states (“Undated” where none does), and every other dated event: foundings, funding, acquisitions and platform launches. Newest first, each with the page it came from. An event that is the same launch as a launch row is listed once. Filter by capability, by technology, or to the major launches the charts count. Take the launches or the events as JSON.

Launch counts measure how public a company is, not how fast it ships, so every chart counts major launches only. The 28 companies with an itemised changelog average 19.5 launches each in the table below, 7.5 of them major; the 42 that publish nothing dated average 1.5, 0.9 of them major. Filter by where a company publishes to see the difference.
